How to recognise a phishing email
Verify the senderCheck the full email address, not just the display name. Look for subtle misspellings of familiar domains.
Inspect links before clickingHover over a link to preview its true destination. If it doesn't match, don't click.
Be wary of urgencyThreats, deadlines and "immediate action required" are designed to make you act before you think.
Never disclose credentialsIT and Security will never ask for your password or one-time codes by email.
Report anything suspiciousWhen in doubt, use the Report Phishing button in your mail client rather than deleting the message.
A note on this exercise: Everyone is tested from time to time — recognising a simulated email is a normal part of the programme, and there is no penalty for reaching this page. The goal is simply to keep our defences sharp.
